Virtual (Remote) Group Sitting Support for Old Students
Dear Old Student,
You are invited to participate in virtual group sittings for students who have completed a ten-day Vipassana course as taught by S.N. Goenka. With the temporary closing of the three Vipassana Halls in the Bay Area, many students have requested a way to continue to get support for their practice. We are hoping that this will meet this need as best we can.
We will try to schedule at least one group sitting per day with an AT present. If an AT cannot be present, we will have a host who will play the group sitting recording. We will send another email in the next couple of days with more information about daily group sittings. For now, we will have scheduled a sitting each evening at 7:00 PM.
This evening, Thursday, March 19 at 7:00 PM we will have our first group sitting. Tim and Karen Donovan, who are teachers for the Bay Area, will be leading the group sitting and then will answer meditation questions for about 15 minutes after the call. You can submit the questions directly to the host through the Chat feature and even if you don’t have a question, you are welcome to stay on to listen.
To join the group sitting you will need to use Zoom and if you haven’t used it before, please sign on 5-10 minutes early to make sure that you are set up before the group sitting starts.
For meeting details, please email [email protected]
Best wishes,
Bay Area Vipassana Center Trust, Dhamma Santosa
