We’d like to invite you to the upcoming service projects at the center-land for Dhamma Santosa. The goal is to create an attractive visual screen using hedge plants between the public roads and the center-land and avoid the need for fencing.
If you are available to join us for ANY or BOTH of these projects, please click on the links to sign up. Also, if you are available to join for part of the day, that will work too.
Saturday, March 9, 9:30am – 3:00pm And
Sunday, March 10, 9:30am – 3:00pm
We will plant 210 California-native hedge plants along these two roads and we plan to plant “rain or shine.” We need about 30 (or more, if possible) volunteers for each of these days. Click on this link to sign up for either or both days where you will also find additional details such as what to bring, the address of the center and and carpool information:
Unless it’s raining, we will also plan on having a group sitting (in the open area) from 8:30am-9:30am on Sat March 9. Please bring your own cushions.
Be sure to dress warmly, and have appropriate gear (such as sturdy shoes, work gloves) to enable walking/working on uneven terrain. Also note that the nearest toilet facility is about 5-7 mins walk (or 1 min drive) from center-land. You should also bring a brown bag lunch for yourself.
Please remember to list the tools that you can bring when you sign up. If you have a shovel or are able to borrow one, please bring it.
If you have tools that can be used for these projects, or if you have prior experience working on similar landscaping projects, or for any additional questions, we would love to hear from you.
Email us at [email protected]
Be sure to include your contact information (email and phone) when you sign up so we can send a reminder and any additional up-to-date instructions
We hope you can join us and we look forward to serving together on these projects.
